Low D always knew he was meant to be a saxophonist ever since he played his first note in a small band hall in Ore City Texas. “When I was a kid in middle school, I was always inventing songs in band class and adding on to the sheet music which got me into trouble sometimes not realizing I was in early stages of learning how to improv on saxophone. And somewhere along the way, it just became obvious to me that I would keep doing it my whole life.”
Despite his rapidly increasing fan base, he still thinks of himself as a working musician. “I have to write and create constantly,” he says. “Otherwise, I worry I’m being lazy and that makes me anxious.” I have a strong work ethic which has lead to me being booked up with shows and projects,”
Will he ever leave Texas? “No, especially since my kids are here. I would love to travel across America to go on tours and play internationally one day but Texas will always be my home.”
